TLV Abridged: Scene 16 - The Call

Half of this probably won't be bullshitted because I absolutely love this scene. It's one of my absolute favorites in the movie because of that moment between Frederick and his eldest son, where he's finally proud of Gregory's actions. I love it so much!

Gregory: You can do this, you can do this.

*deep breath*

*not sure if this'll work*

Gregory: One way to find out.

Rudolph: Is that...? It can't be.

Rudolph: It is.

Rudolph: The Call.

Tony: I would totally ask what that is, but we kind of have a plot to get back to. Anna, how 'bout you go.

Anna: Alright. *Vaguely suspecting Tony is trying to get rid of her*

*Ludicrous speed! GO!*

Freda: Do you hear that?

Frederick: Yes, yes I do.

Freda: Do you know what this means?
Dottie: What what means?

Freda: Our son is calling the clan.

Bob: You mean Rudolph?

Dottie: Calling the clan?

Frederick: Gregory. Freda was right.
Dottie: Uh....

Frederick: (actual line, though misplaced) Robert, could you drive a little faster, please?

Freda: Please, dear?
Bob: *flushing*

Betsie: Come with me, ladies.

Cows: We're off to see the comet...

Cora: Hey, wait for me!!!

Anna: Mother, Father!

Freda: Anna, darling!

Freda: Oh, thank goodness.

*Actual dialogue for the next several panels*
Anna: Mother, Father, we found Uncle Von's grave! I mean, Tony found it, and he saw the Stone in a vision. He and Rudolph are after it now.

Frederick: May their quest be fruitful.

Frederick: Thank you, Gregory.

*Actual dialogue ends*

Anna: Look at that.
Freda: They're coming home!

Dottie: What the fuck?

Bob: *is the picture of blissful ignorance*

Dottie: Bob! Look out!

Bob: What the-- Holy Christ!

Dottie: Oh God, Oh God, Oh God, Oh God.

Dottie: *speechless*

Bob: Okay, just breathe. Everything's going to be just fine.

Dottie: Yeah, I'm not sure.

*Yeah, this isn't creepy at aaaaaaaaaaalllllllllllllllllll*

*is starting to crack*

Bob: (Actual dialogue) Hi, I'm Bob, and this is my wife Dottie.

Dottie: Uh...hi.

Bob: (actual dialogue cont.) Great night for a gathering, huh?

Frederick: Back off! We're not supposed to be bloodthirsty fiends, especially to honored guests.

Frederick: You're safe now.
Dottie: Thank you.

Dottie: That was actually kind of hot.
